Each watch ships with a unique serial that can be verified on our public authenticity page. The verification QR in the box links to a Royal-Pop-specific digital certificate (PDF). Reference numbers: SSX03R100N (Otto Rosso), SSX03W100N (Huit Blanc), SSX03G100N (Green Eight), SSX03L101N (Blaue Acht), SSX03L103N (Orenji Hachi), SSX03W101N (Ocho Negro), SSX03L100N (Lan Ba — Savonnette), SSX03J100N (Otg Roz — Savonnette). SISTEM51 is not user-serviceable. Defective movements inside warranty are replaced, not repaired — a trade-off for 100%-automated assembly we disclose upfront.

The Royal Pop's case explicitly cites theRoyal Oak (1972, Gérald Genta)and AP's small-seriesRoyal Oak Pocket Watch ref. 5691from the early 1980s. The modular wear concept is a direct reissue of theSwatch POP (1986)— a 47mm watch whose movement could be popped out of its frame and clipped to clothing, bags, or keychains. Forty years on, the same idea returns as Bioceramic, with a hand-wound SISTEM51 inside and the Petite Tapisserie dial of the Royal Oak on the front.

It is the first cross-group Swatch luxury collaboration with Audemars Piguet — but it is a Swatch product, not an AP wristwatch. It carries AP × Swatch co-branding, the Royal Oak's octagonal bezel and Petite Tapisserie dial, and a Nivachron™ balance spring co-developed with AP. The movement is Swatch's hand-wound SISTEM51, not an AP caliber. We label every asset as illustrative; Audemars Piguet and Swatch are the source of truth.

There is no first-party wrist strap. It's designed to be worn around the neck, in a pocket, clipped to a bag, or stood on its removable Bioceramic desk stand. With a third-party 20mm strap it converts to a wristwatch — we call out that after-market option honestly in the 'Six ways to wear it' section.

Straight answer: the SISTEM51 is not user-serviceable. Inside the 2-year warranty, a defective movement is replaced rather than repaired — the trade-off for the only Swiss-made mechanical movement with 100%-automated assembly. We disclose this up front rather than burying it, because critics like Misha Mertsyn have rightly flagged it.

Yes. The Huit Blanc's eight hexagonal bezel screws are each finished in a colour randomized at assembly from a finite palette — Swatch's stated figure is three million possible permutations, making every Huit Blanc mathematically one-of-one.
